Dima Slobodeniouk will make his debut with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra earlier than expected

Dima Slobodeniouk was scheduled to make his first appearance with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in April 2019, and will now make his debut with the orchestra earlier than expected. On 24, 25 and 28 October 2018 he will conduct the orchestra at The Concertgebouw and on 26 October at De Harmonie in Leeuwarden. The programme comprises Richard Strauss’s Don Juan and Tod und Verklärung, the Netherlands première of Zemlinsky’s Lustspiel-Ouvertüre and Alban Berg’s Piano Sonata, op. 1 orchestrated by Theo Verbey.

Following this period, Dima Slobodeniouk will go on tour with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Yefim Bronfman from 9 to 13 November, through Estonia, Sweden and Denmark.

Conductors Dima Slobodeniouk and Philippe Herreweghe have agreed to conduct the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in October and November 2018, leaving the programmes unaltered. This encompasses the Amsterdam concerts as well as the concerts on tour which were to have been conducted by Daniele Gatti.
