Dima Slobodeniouk debuts with the Münchner Philharmoniker

This week will see Dima Slobodeniouk making his debut with the Münchner Philharmoniker. He will step-in on short notice for an indisposed Mikko Franck, conducting two concerts at the Isarphilharmonie in Munich on Wednesday, 23 November and Thursday, 24 November.

Slobodeniouk will open the programme with Stravinsky’s Octet for wind instruments with the Münchner Philharmoniker’s own soloists, followed by Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto with Frank Peter Zimmermann and Schumann’s Symphony No. 4.

Schumann’s 4th Symphony was also part of Dima Slobodeniouk’s concert with the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln last week, which saw him reunite on stage with pianist Martin Helmchen, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3. The concert was broadcast live, and is available for streaming until 19 December 2022.
