Dima Slobodeniouk makes his Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra debut this week with Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5. Also on the programme is Ludwig van Beehoven’s Violin Concerto with Gil Shaham and Valentyn Silvestrov’s “Prayer for Ukraine” to mark the first anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine this Friday, February 24, 2023.

Kaija Saariaho’s Clarinet Concerto with Finnish clarinetist Kari Kriikku and Antonín Dvořák’s 7th Symphony are on the programme for Dima Slobodeniouk’s return to the Minnesota Orchestra the following week.
